Pack Meetings
The last Thursday of the month from September to May, all Cub Scout Dens and families come together to see what each group has been doing and working on. Awards are given out at these gatherings. We try to keep these meetings brief since they are on a school night, however we find it irresistible to have fun with the boys and occasionally run a little longer than we anticipated.
When you come in, your scout needs to sign in and get an attendance bead. You also need to pick up the literature for upcoming activities. This is when parents should sign up and or make payment on activities, such as Klondike Derby, Camp-outs, or the Blue & Gold Banquet.
We also have each Den bring some sort of goodies for the “Bake Auction” on their pre-arranged pack meeting (see Pack Calendar) . These can be homemade brownies, cookies, cupcakes. They can even be store bought goodies or something small that all ages would enjoy. We sell raffle tickets for $1.00. We raffle these goodies off at the end of the meetings.
If for whatever reason you are unable to attend you need to make the appropriate calls to find out what you missed. If you have any questions about these meetings or any event please feel free to ask one of the leaders for assistance. We would hate for your scout to miss out on something just because of a misunderstanding. Most importantly, please respect our leaders’ family time and do not call them after 9 pm. If it is urgent most of our current leadership checks their email regularly.
