Carroll District Cub Scout Day Camp 2011

Dates:
June 20-24 or July 11-15, 2011 both at the Westminster Ag Center
Time: 8:45 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday
Family Program: Wednesday Evening 5:30 – 7:00
This program replaces the longer closing ceremony on Friday afternoons and Friday will be a normal full day of Day Camp. Families will enjoy skits from the older campers and songs from the younger ones. We’ll learn a bit of history, and be privileged to see a formal flag retirement ceremony. Day Camp ends as usual on Wednesday and parents will sign out their campers at 4:00. Bring along a picnic dinner and relax and enjoy some family time at the camp from 4:00 – 5:30 when our program begins. We have all the dirt and grass you can sit on, but Day Camp will not be providing food or picnic supplies, so please remember to bring whatever you will need.

Cost:
$125.00 per Scout without a Parent Volunteer.
$85 per Scout with a 5 day Parent Volunteer (save $40).
$100 per Scout with a 3-4 day Parent Volunteer (save $25).
$35.00 per Junior Camper and $25 for each additional sibling in same
family. (discount applies to same family/sibling not same pack)
ONLY 3,4 & 5 day Volunteers will receive a t-shirt.

Program:
The daily program includes archery, BB marksmanship, crafts, nature,
fishing, games/sports, Scout skills, and special events/programs to be
announced. Each boy will receive a list of the achievements and belt loops completed during camp to be applied toward advancements in rank.
Dress:
The camp fee includes one Day Camp T-shirt and hat. The camp ts-hirt must be worn every day to ensure the safety and security of our Scouts and program. Additional shirts are available for $10 and are highly
recommended to eliminate the stress of having to wash the shirt each night.

Meals:
Each camper is responsible for bringing a sack lunch and beverage daily. An extra water bottle is encouraged. Water jugs will be provided at each station. There will be coolers provided to keep lunches cool.
Healthy drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at the trading post during lunch break.
Transportation:
Each camper is responsible for his own transportation to and from camp. A responsible adult must sign the Scout or Junior Camper into camp each day and also must sign each out at the end of the day. Only adults listed on the Scout’s information form will be allowed to sign campers in or out.

Camper Attendance Verification Procedure

Verification of camper attendance and absences is extremely important. Each participant must be accounted for each day. Parents are responsible for sending a note or calling the Camp Directors before the beginning of camp each day if their child will be absent.

Camper Release Procedure

Day Camp participants may only be released to the people named on their registration forms. Anytime someone not on the registration form arrives to pick up a participant, parents will be contacted.
